This story is about Jamal Malik which who won a million rupees.
The author begins his story with a description of the main character's condition. There is pain coming from every part of my body. I am hanging from a wooden beam" in a large room. My hands are tied to the beam with rope and my feet are a metre above the floor.

Someone was without eyes, someone without hands. They tried to prevent them from communicating with the boys from school. Some boys said that they are beggars and begging on trains. If they bring less than a hundred rupees they were punished and they did not eat. One of the boys told about an actress named Neelima Kumari who feeds him and gives him money. One day Salim and Jamal heard that they wanted to be deprived of their eyes and sent to beg. They made the decision to flee. When they took the train to Juhu, they met a blind boy who sang Surdas. After Jamal's story Smita pushes "Play' on the DVD player.
Second question: "Which God did Surdas, the blind singer, pray to?" Jamal Malik replied "B. Krishna"
That was the correct answer and he won two thousand rupees.
