Good food helps keep you healthy. Remember all those wonderful sayings about food: “Milk gives you strong bones”, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, “Carrots help you see in the dark”? Common sense tells us that good food plays an important part in good health.
ood food gives us seven important things. Protein helps people to grow, minerals make their teeth and bones strong, and water is necessary for their blood and for cleaning the whole organism. Fats and carbohydrates give people energy, and fibre cleans the inside of their bodies. Vitamins are needed for eyes, bones, skin and other parts of the human body. There are thirteen types of vitamins in different types of food.
Eating a balanced diet of good nutritious food can keep your resistance up. And you know that when your resistance is low your chances of getting sick are much higher.
But if people adore fast food which is high in salt, sugar and fats, and low in fibre and vitamins, they don’t take care of their health and are in real danger. This food consists of cholesterol, and because of it, people, who like fast food and eat it very often, suffer from the obesity and they are inclined to the heart disease, gastric disease and some other problems. The life of modern people proceeds at a fast pace, and often there is not enough free time to eat. For such people, this is the only solution in such situations. Therefore, fast food is very popular and such cafes are opened in different places. Usually the menu consists of simple dishes: fried potatoes, salads, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, milkshakes, various sauces. This food is dangerous to health. It does not contain vitamins and nutrients. It includes dye and flavors. It has a lot of fat and calories. The person is disturbed by the metabolism, which leads to obesity.
We should understand that food is an important part of our life. We should choose healthy food which is not harmful for us. Healthy food begins with healthy products. Some foods help us to preserve youth and some sanity. A healthy food is primarily natural products without chemical additives and intermediates. Another important factor is the freshness. The way we eat directly influences whether or not our muscles grow or we get extra fat. If your bones and teeth will be strong or not. If our body will be strong and skin clean. If our stomach will digest food well and our heart will do its job properly. That’s why our nutrition should be as much natural and organic as possible because that’s the only way to keep us healthily and prolong our life.
