помогите плиз раскройте скобки употреб. глаголы в Past Simple или Past Perfect

1. remembered... had left
2. were... had passed
3. opened... looked... tried... had happened
4. visited... had lived
5. told... had reserved
6. Where had you worked... entered
7. didn't know ...had attaked

1).On my way to school I REMEMBERED that I HAD LEFT my report at home. 2. All my friends WERE glad to hear that I HAD PASSED all the examinations successfullu. 3. He OPENED his eyes, LOOKED around and TRIED to remember what HAD HAPPENED to him. 4. During the holidays my friend VISITED the village where he HAD LIVED in his childhood. 5. When I came home, my mother TOLD me that she HAD RECEIVED a letter from grandfather. 6. Where HAD you WORKED before you ENTERED the institute? 7. Lanny DIDN"T KNOW who HAD ATTACKED him in the darkness.
С этими временами всё очень просто - то действие, которое уже завершилось к началу другого, тоже прошедшего, но болеее позднего действия - В Past Perfect ( иными словами более раннее действие) , а более позднее действие - в Past Simple. Вот и всё. А предложения не из учебника по грамматике автора - Голицынский? Уж больно знакомы показались. Практически на 100 % уверена, что оттуда.
