In the future, students may have the choice of studying at home by using technology such as computers or television or of studying at traditional schools. Personally, I think that studying at home is always a better one.

First, studying home cost much less money than traditional school. In order to build a school, governments or private ones have to invest a huge amount of money worth millions of dollars in bricks and mortar. On the contrary, each family has to spend just a few hundreds of dollars on an Internet-connected computer for their son or daughter to study at home. Moreover, in traditional schools, textbooks, the main references, always cost students’ families a lot of money each year. If students study at home, these book expenses will be eliminated as they can access information, references that are needed for their study free on the Internet.

Secondly, studying at home offers students a more a wide range of valuable learning resources. It is obvious that studying at home with Internet-connected computers, students can get access to a lot of sites for references. They no longer have to study with just few vanilla and sometimes outdated textbooks as information on the internet is infinite and various. What is more, these days, many dynamic teachers devote their time to creating and sharing their lessons on the Internet. They do it with the hope that students from everywhere can have the same equality to have an adequate education. Thus, beside a lot of other information, students can download and access these lessons, which are usually high-quality and critically important for their studies.

Last but not least, home study changes the traditional study way into a more effective and independent one. At home, without the constant help and instruction of teachers, students will have to do all the tasks themselves from finding information, compiling them to doing researches. This will allow students to explore their own studying methods in order to finish their assignments successfully and quickly. Moreover, home study can enhance some skills like critical thinking skill significantly. It is because, through the process of finding information, students will be exposed to numerous references what are not always exact. That they will have examine, to classify and to choose what are accurate and necessary for their studies. After long period, this will train students’ critical thinking skill and create a thinking acuity in them.

In short, although there are still some barriers like mindset issues…, I believe that home study will be a future learning style because of those above benefits it offers students.
