Essay: Stealing at school
To begin with, I’d like to say that stealing is unacceptable in a school. However, it must be admitted that it’s a real problem in schools nowadays and we have to do something to solve it.

On the one hand, children steal for a reason and first we need to uncover it to be able to take corrective actions. It is not the stealing that we must primarily focus on. The behavior of the thief will not change until we have found the cause or reason for the stealing. It could be a result of just being unhappy, unknown, not having a sense of belonging at school, feeling hurt and wanting others to "feel hurt as I do - makes me feel better", even just not having things others have - all these can be reason enough to steal at school ages.

On the other hand, we have got the victims of the stealing and they are in most cases want the thieves to be punished. In my opinion, we can hardly blame them. Although the culprits are not always caught, the message that must be clearly given and heard, that there is zero tolerance for stealing.

So the questions are – do we need to punish for stealing and how? What would punishment really teach? And is there not a better way? I believe that the punishment should depend on the circumstances. Moreover, children shouldn’t be excluded for any stealing. Instead, all school should pay great attention to prevention of stealing.

For example, all schools have to set ground rules about taking, borrowing, damaging other students’ property. Then, consequent actions must be established along with the rules requiring that children return stolen things plus they are required to do something additional to make amends to that person. Finally, classroom discussion can be a valuable process for students to consider the implications of stealing, taking or damaging other people’s property, and best given through case studies.

Воровство в школе

Для начала, я хотела бы сказать, что воровство в школе неприемлемо. Тем не менее, необходимо согласиться с тем фактом, что это реальная проблема в современной школе и с этим надо что-то делать.

С одной стороны, дети воруют не просто так, и для начала нужно понять причины этого, чтобы предпринять правильные действия. То есть сначала надо обратить внимание не на само воровство, а на его причины, т. к. поведение вора не измениться, пока мы ее не обнаружим. Воровство может быть причиной того, что ребенок несчастен, непризнан другими детьми, не может привыкнуть к школе, травмирован чем-то и хочет, чтобы и другие чувствовали себя так же – это помогает ему чувствовать себя лучше, или просто хочет иметь вещи, которые есть у других и нет у него – все это может быть причинами воровства в школьном возрасте.

С другой стороны, мы имеем жертв воровства, и в большинстве случаев они хотят, чтобы вор был наказан. По-моему, их трудно в этом винить. Хотя не всегда можно поймать кого-то на воровстве, мысль о том, что воровство неприемлемо и к нему у всех отрицательное отношение, должна быть понята всеми.

Ну а вообще должны выплатить штраф и что б в школе сделали доску воров и туда вешали фото воров!! Пускай школа знает в лицо своих паразитов)))
