George Moon was sitting in his office. His work WAS FINISHED . He WAS LINGERING there because he DID NOT HAVE the heart to go. He knew that at the moment a farewell dinner HAD BEEN PREPARING. In the evening everyone WOULD BE there. He WOULD BE PRESENTED with a silver tea service that he DIDN'T WANT in the least. Speeches WOULD BE MADE. He WOULD REPLY suitably. His speech WAS PREPARED long before this day. He WONDERED what WOULD BE SAID of him. From an official standpoint his career WAS a success, but from human one... He was too clever to think for a moment he REGRETTED .
