My trip to the USA
During three weeks that I spent in America, I got to visit many popular places on the West coast of the country. Our first place of visit was the famous amusement park, Disneyland. This family oriented entertainment park brings back the joy of childhood as well as unforgettable impressions. Guests are welcomed by Walt Disney`s greeting, which in full gives away the nature of this amusement park: "To all who come to this happy place - welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, dreams and the hard facts thathave created America + with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world".
During our first day at Disneyland we visited Disneyland Park, which is the initial Walt Disney theme park. It consists of more than 60 attractions, any one of which gives an opportunity to immerse into the magical atmosphere of ancient times, distant countries and favorite cartoons. Here, anyone can find something interesting to their liking. My favorite attraction was Pirates of the Caribbean, where you climb aboard your boat for a high seas adventure on the Caribbean passing by small port towns, then far into the sea where monstrous octopus Kraken rules his way.
It`s also interesting to see Jungle Cruise attraction where animals like elephants and monkeys, lions and zebras, giraffes and rhinos, and even a tribe of natives live.
On the second day at Disneyland, we`ve visited Disney`s California Adventure Park - a new theme park, reflectingthe history of the Golden State. In this park we have had a chance to see a wonderful and vibrant musical, called Aladdin. Disney`s California attractions and rides differ from Disneyland attractions. And although you can find entertainment for the whole family, most of the park`s attractions are intended for thrill-seeking adults, rather than children.
Disneyland impressed me with its extraordinary richness and variety. I was convinced, that it`s not for nothing that Disneyland`s official nickname is "the happiest place on Earth".
Next we went to San Diego for a two-day trip. First day we spent at SeaWorld, a large theme park dedicated to the ocean and its habitat with various attractions, entertainment and educational programs. We`ve seen several shows with animals, observed polar bears, penguins and dolphins through the glass windows. Of all the attractions, I mostly liked "Journey to Atlantis", a trip on a boat through the castle in the Atlantis with the dropfrom the steep waterfall in the end. In the evening we went to Downtown San Diego to check-in into our hotel. On the second day, we went to San Diego Zoo, world-known zoo located in Balboa Park. This zoo is one of the largest in the world, and of course we weren`t able to cover the whole thing in one day. I was mostly amazed to watch pandas: one of them was busy eating bamboo, the other one was taking a nap hanging in between of a tree branches. I really liked that animals in San Diego Zoo are not kept in the small cages, but rather in large comfortable enclosures.
Few days later, we went to Las Vegas, Nevada. Las Vegas hotels are the main highlights of the city, as corporations owning them do everything on a truly grand scale. We were staying in "Venetian". Hotel which impressed me the most.
