Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov is the legendary Soviet commander, the marshal of the Soviet Union, "Marshall Pobedy", the Minister of Defence of the USSR. He has achieved success on military service, has played a big role in a victory over fascist Germany. Zhukov was born in 1896 in ordinary country family. He was graduated from school with honors. In 1915 he has been accepted in ranks of cavalrymen. He has received the first award in fight with Germans in 1916 when he took prisoner of the German officer. In 1918 Zhukov has come over to the side of Red Guards and actively was involved in Civil war. In 1923 he became the commander of a regiment. During the Soviet-Japanese military conflict in 1939 Zhukov has applied tank troops to extermination of the Japanese troops. Zhukov has been awarded rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union. In 1940 he was entitled the general of the Red Army. During the Great Patriotic War continued to hold high command positions, at the same time ordering fronts.
During World War II it is worth allocating especially fights on the Western front and command of break of the Siege of Leningrad, fight on the Kursk arch and the offensive operation "Bagration". Zhukov accepted capitulation of Germany and Victory Day parade in Moscow.
