Помогите пожалуйста учитель сказал что в тексте времена скачут с present на past simple мне нужно чтобы весь текст был в прошедшем времени помогите умаляю! Срочно!

From the very beginning of the summer holidays, I started walking and relaxing with my friends. There were many interesting stories and adventures, but I am ready to choose one. This is was in mid-January. As usual, I was going a walk with my friends - Zhenya and Vanya. We all met and Zhenya said going somewhere. It was decided to go from the city center to the village Severny. This was a very long distance! We took the water and went. We walked for about 3-4 hours. As a result, we talked a lot, joked and had fun. Eventually we got there. Everyone was very tired and it was decided to chill. After that we parted because it was already dark. I will never forget this walk because we had a very good time. To this day we remember this story.
