Найдите пожалуйста ошибки при выборе формы глагола. И скажите почему неправильно употребил время

I come from very large family and resently my parents decided that they (2)spent(spend) long enough living in an overcrowded house in Birminghem.We(3) will move(move) to the country,my father(4) announced(announce) one evening –I will sell(sell) this house and we(6) will living on a farm.So last week we (7)loaded(load)all our possessions into two hired vans and for the last few days we(8)have tryed(try) to organize ourselves in our new home. Yesterday for example my three brothers and I(9) have started(start) painting the downstairs rooms.
Unfortunately while I(10) was mixing(mix) the paint one of my sisters (11)have opened (open)the door.
Nobody (12)tell(tell) her that we(13) were (be)in the room, you see. So Instead of painting the walls, we (14)have spent(spend) all morning cleaning the paint off the floor. But worse things(15)had happened(happen) since then This morning then I(16) woke up(wake up) , water (17)dripped(drip) through the ceilling next to my bed.We (18)have been spending (spend)today repairing the roof.It' not all bad news, though.The school in the village nearby(19) closed down (close down)two years ago, and my parents(20)haven’t found(not find) another school for us yet

– I sell this house and we will live on a farm.
So last week we loaded all our possessions into two hired vans
and for the last few days we tried to organize ourselves in
our new home. Yesterday for example my three brothers and I
started painting the downstairs rooms.
Unfortunately while I was mixing the paint, one of my sisters
opened the door. Nobody told her that we were in the room,
you see. So Instead of painting the walls, we have spent all

since then. This morning, when I woke up, water was dripping
through the ceilling next to my bed. We have been spending today
repairing the roof. It was not all bad news, though. The school in the
village nearby had closed down two years ago, and my parents
did not find another school for us yet.
