Сочинение по английскому. Нужно написать сочинение на тему "Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom"

A good friend sent me this quote yesterday, and it has really been in the forefront of my mind ever since. Even this morning as I was doing some quick 30 seconds on the treadmill my thoughts went back to “how high can I bounce?”

Perhaps one of the reasons this quote by G. Patton speaks volumes is that everyone of us can relate to it. Our “bottom” could be one of many things. Perhaps you had a bad training day, went to the starting line under trained, a less than optimal race where all your race day plans of execution went out the window early on, a bike mechanical problem, a crash, a cramp or injury that took you out of training or racing for a while, or perhaps just terrible race day weather. Our “bottom” can even reach deeper on a more personal level- a sick family member, problems at work, a death, issues in a relationship, and other curve balls that life seems to throw at us when we least expect it.

But what we do have control over, is how high we’re going to bounce. Are you going to get up and do a little skip and not make the necessary changes, or go from the “bottom” and make a huge leap up, and reach for your goals and dreams? We are left to decide that.

And even better yet….is bouncing up from the “bottom” with a great trampoline. And that trampoline is your support crew- family, friends, coaches, sponsors, and anyone else that can help you bounce high!

We may not always be able to control how we get to the bottom, but we can control how far we bounce up. In fact a very wise friend once told me: “Kim….these types of things happen, and why we don’t know. However there will be a point where you’ll be thankful for these events as they’ll only make you stronger.” And you know what…..he was so RIGHT! So if you’re able to respond well to hitting that bottom, you’ll only become more stronger! It has been proven time and time again.

The next time you’re out whether training or trying to get through a rough moment say to yourself “how high can I bounce”, and see what happens. Here’s to bouncing higher and higher everyday!
