Amelie: - What kind of music do you like to listen to?

Brad: - All kinds, but mostly Rock and Indie-pop. Why?

Amelie: - Oh, I’m just collecting the information for my school essay. I’m trying to prove that modern music is not stupid, and some lyrics have a strong sense. Oldsters suppose that there are no great musicians such as The Beatles or The Queen anymore. The Scorpions and The Rolling Stones were great but they are coeval with our grandparents. Do we really have no cool musicians?

Brad: - I don’t think so. In my opinion, we have a plenty of pop-singers on the stage with lack of talent. But we also have some talented people, who could give the food for thought through their songs. These songs make us crazy, loving or sober-minded. People got used to associate a song with the first kiss or parting, some special and significant things.

As for me, I like 30 seconds to Mars, Hurts and Breaking Benjamin. Usually, their songs make my day. It seems to me, that some of these songs could change us.

Amelie: - Exactly, they are awesome guys. What do you think about modern pop-music? I mean, Selena Gomez or Miley Cyrus. They are so loud and bright, and I like to dance to the music, because it’s too hard to move and dance to the rock songs.

Brad: - That’s not for me. I like some songs of Rihanna and Katy Perry, but they work for human eyes, not for ears. What a pity!

Amelie: - To be honest, I’m afraid you’re not quite right. Usually, people make some jokes about pop-songs and singers. They say these songs haven’t got any sense. However, when there is nobody next to a man or he is drunk, he actually sings a pop-song.

Brad: - I can’t help thinking the same. Many men, many minds. I like music in all of its aspects, because it is a source of my inspiration. Back to the topic of your essay, I don’t agree, that songs start to be dull and useless. That's not my way of looking at it.
