Dear Isabel,
I'm sorry I haven't been in touch for such a long time buT this is the first time in weeks I've managed (1). TO FIND some time to write. I've got a lot to tell Do you remember Sophie from our class at the Cambridge School? Well, a couple of weeks ago she phoned me and suggested (2) THAT a party for all the people from our old class BE ORGANIZED (= SHOULD BE ORGANIZED). I thought this sounded like a really great idea and I agreed TO HELP her.
Since we didn't know where everyone was, we decided (4) TO GET IN TOUCH with the school. They were very
nice and offered TO CONTACT everyone. This involved (6) TO SEND Lots of email messages and (7) MAKE some international phone calls. It must have been quite expensive.
We had planned (8). TO MEET UP at a restaurant, but the school director said we could use a room at the school and we thought it would be more fun too. It also meant t we could avoid (9) SHARING a space with a lot of strangers.
It was a real success. We all had a great time. I really enjoyed (10) SEEING everyone again and so did Sophi
Imagine twenty ex-classmates and their boyfriends and girlfriends (11) DANCING to fantastic music and
(12) EATING delicious food, and you've got some idea how much fun it was. There were typical dishes from ten different countries and the room was decorated with coloured balloons. We didn't finish (13) TO BE CLEANING UP
until 2 a.m.!
The only disappointing thing was that you couldn't be there with us. Everyone missed you a lot! We're hoping (14) TO DO it again next year and we want you TO PROMISE to come. OK?
