Although I am a foreign Communist who has not yet obtained transfer of the CPSU(b), I still think You, the leader of the world proletariat, will not seem unnatural that I appeal to You with request to clarify the question, which, I think, is of great importance for a number of Communists in the USSR and in other countries around the world.

The question is: can a homosexual be considered a person worthy to be a member of the Communist party?

The newly issued law on criminal responsibility for sodomy, as approved by the CEC of the USSR on 7 March, apparently means that a homosexual can not be found worthy to wear the title of Soviet citizen; the less, therefore, should count them worthy to be members of the CPSU(b).

Being personally interested in this question because I myself am a homosexual, I addressed this question to a number of comrades from the OGPU and people's Commissariat, to psychiatrists and to T. S. Borodin, the responsible editor of the newspaper where I work.

In the obscurity that exists in this matter, I appeal to You, hoping that You will be able to find the time to answer.

Let me therefore expound this issue, as I understand it.

First of all I would like to point out that I consider the situation of homosexuals, which according to their social class workers or workers in General, how similar the situation of women under the capitalist system and a similar provision is oppressed by the imperialism of the colored races; it is also largely similar to the situation of the Jews in the Nazi dictatorship, and indeed it is not hard to see in this an analogy with the situation of any social group, vulnerable to exploitation and harassment in the conditions of capitalist domination.

Adults should try to give more attention to their children especially at such a difficult age. Teenagers also need more freedom of choice and less pressure. They are the future of our country and a lot depends on what kind of people they will become. The problem of drug is also actual at this age. Many teenagers suffer from drug addiction. It often leads to health problems and serious consequences. Other issues include smoking and drinking alcohol. Teenagers often meet their first love. It is a wonderful time for them and one of the best stages of life. This event stays in one’s memory forever. Unfortunately, the first love can have unhappy endings. It leads to problems in communication even with the best friends. Clearly there are a lot of problems in teenagers’ lives.
