3)"Why did you return home so late last night?" my mother said to me. 
4) He asked Jane: "How long have you been waiting for your cousin?" 
5) "I'm not paying for your lunch, Tom", said his friend "I haven't got any money" 
6) She said to Mabel: " I've never heard anyone worse. He is a bad singer" 
7)"When did they leave the country?" he asked Helen. 
8) Bob said: "I don't think it will happen" 
9)"I won't do it until you give me some money", said the boy. 
10)"What is that book in your hands?" he asked me. 
11) "Please, let me, go", she said. 
12) "What do you think we will do on Sunday?" my son asked me.

Я попробовал и у меня получилось следующее: 
 
1) She asked me what I was planning for summer. 
 
2) The passenger asked not to smoke in the compartment. 
 
3 My mother asked me why I had returned home so late the previous night. 
 
4) He asked Jane how long had she been waiting for her cousin. 
 
5) Tom’s friend said that he wasn’t paying for his(Tom’s) lunch. He added that he hadn’t got any money. 
 
6) She said to Mabel that she had never heard anyone worse. She explained that he was a bad singer. 
 
7) He asked Helen when they had left the country. 
 
8) Bob said that he didn’t think it would happen. 
 
9) The boy said that he wouldn’t do it until he/she/they gave him some money. 
 
10) He asked me what that book in my hands was. 
 
11) She said him/her/them to let her go. 
 
12) My son asked me what I thought we would do on Sunday.
