Summer Holidays
I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays. My cousin-sister and I spent last July in the country. Our Granny lives in the village. She has got a little country house there. The weather was always fine and we liked to be outdoors. There is a river not far from the village and we often went swimming there. We went for long walks to the woods, picked flowers, gathered berries and mushrooms. We watered the plants in the garden, took care of the domestic animals and helped our Granny about the house. We had a nice time in the country.
Then August came and our family went to the seaside. Several years we dreamt of spending some weeks at the seaside. We decided to go to Turkey. We got there by plane. It was fantastic! The weather was wonderful! We spent a lot of time at the seaside swimming in the sea and lying in the hot sun. I think spending holidays at the seaside is a great rest.
Now I am looking forward to my next summer holidays.
