He saw the children playing in the garden.
5)What did the Giant do to keep the children out of the garden?
He built a high wall all round his garden, and put up a notice-board.
6)Why is the Giant called selfish?
Because the poor children used to play in the garden and since the giant had prohibited them from playing there they had no place to play.

10)Describe the first meeting of the little boy and the Giant. Describe their second meeting after a long interval.
When they first met the boy's eyes were full of tears because he hadn't noticed how the giant approached him. The Giant didn't kill the boy he helped him reach the tree instead.
Years went by when the Giant saw the boy for the second time. That time the boy had many wounds on his palms and toes. It seemed to be Jesus Christ who invited the giant to his own garden that is called paradise.
