2. Peter showed me the way to the theatre.- I was SHOWN the way to the theatre by Peter. - The way to the theatre was SHOWN TO me by Peter.
3. Mother will send for a doctor in a minute. - The doctor will be sent for (by mother) in a minute.
4. I am translating the novel now. - The novel is being translated (by me) now.
5. They gave me the book a few days ago. - I was given a book (by them) a few days ago. - The book was given to me BY THEM a few days ago.
6. Mary has invited the quests to her party. - The guests have been invited to the party by Mary.
7. Many tourists visit our town every year. - Our town is visited by many tourists every year.
8. The builders opened this library last year. - This library was opened by the builders last year.
9. The director has met the delegation at the station. - The delegation HAS BEEN MET by the director at the station.
10. Don’t go into the classroom! The students are writing a dictation there. - Don't go into the classroom! A dictation is being written by the THE students there.
