Принцип этого задания - разделить существительные на исчисляемые (их можно посчитать штуками - раз карандаш, два карандаша, три карандаша, много карандашЕЙ - МНОЖЕСТВЕННОЕ ЧИСЛО, здесь много - many, мало - few, несколько - a few) и неисчисляемые (названия веществ (твердых, жидких и газообразных, которые без сосудов, без емкостей нельзя посчитать штуками, и некоторых абстракций, а слова МНОГО или МАЛО будут с ЕДИНСТВЕННЫМ ЧИСЛОМ этих существительных: много пескА (а не пескОВ) , водЫ, воздухА, светА, музыкИ ), с которыми много - much, мало - little, немного - a little.
