at - мы говорим об определенной точке, месте в пространстве (I live at 123 Fake Street) + когда мы говорим о времени (at 5 o'clock)

on - когда мы говорим о чем-то, находящемся на горизонтальной или вертикальной поверхности. + средний промежуток времени (on sunday)

in - внутри чего-либо (in the box) + большой промежуток времени (in september)

это очень кратко. в английском, как вы знаете, существует немало случаев использования данных предлогов, также не стоит забывать об исключениях.
