She was lying in bed planning lovely rides that she and Jack would take as soon as they both learnt how to ride their bikes. 
She was just wondering whether mother would let them go to Brighton when at once she became aware that something was moving in her room. 
Bigger and bigger it was growing. 
She had never dressed so quickly in her short life.
