Try to prove them that you can be an independent person that is able to deal succesfully with lots of hard situations that could happen abroad. Start being more self-disciplined and self-supporting. If they see you can travel short distances alone (for example to the nearest city or something) it will increase their faith in your ability to get well abroad.
