How can people get an experience without working,when everywhere you go to work,is required work experience.

I am a freshman.My speciality is Sociology.And as a future sociologist I wanna understand everything,but I can't understand this.There aren't places to work even for getting experience, without wage.And unfortunately we can't change this.So guys need your help,show me a way to do something,If you can,,THanks for your attention.
