Нужна помощь с редиректом через htaccess

Друзья, помогите, не удается сделать редирект.
Сайт на joomla 2.5

редирект нужен с
http : / / my site.ru/news ite/ru/com ponent/k2/item/24-puteshstviya на http:/ /mys ite.ru/n ewsite/r u/puteshst viya

Задаю как
Redirect 301 htt p: //mysi te.ru/ne wsite/ru/c omponent /k2/item/24-puteshstv iya http ://m ysite. ru/newsite/ru/puteshstviya
но нифига не выходит, если так то вообще 0 реакции, если иначе делаю то либо 500 / 404 ошибки. Может в htaccess что то не так?
