Родился 8 (19) ноября 1711 в Санкт-Петербурге, в деревне Денисовка, в семье крестьянина-помора. Ходил с отцом на судах за рыбой в Белое море и Северный Ледовитый океан. Рано научился грамоте и к 14 годам прочел все книги, которые мог достать. В декабре 1730 ушел с рыбным обозом в Москву. В январе 1731 Ломоносов, выдав себя за дворянского сына, поступил в Московскую славяно-греко-латинскую академию, где получил хорошую подготовку по древним языкам и другим гуманитарным наукам.А в начале 1736 как один из лучших студентов Ломоносов был направлен в университет при Петербургской академии наук, а осенью — в Германию, в Марбургский университет. Русский ученый М. В. Ломоносов занимает в истории России особое место. Он достиг величайших достижений в области физики и химии.В честь него назвали великий институт-институт Имени Ломоносова.

Went with the father on courts for fish to the White sea and Arctic ocean. Has early learnt the reading and writing and by 14 years has read all books which could get. In December 1730 has left with a fish transport to Moscow.
In January 1731 Lomonosov, having given out itself for the son of noble family, has arrived in the Moscow slavjano-Greek-Latin academy where has received good preparation on classic languages and other humanities. And in the beginning 1736 as one of the best students Lomonosov has been directed to university at the Petersburg academy of sciences, and in the autumn — to Germany, in Marburgsky university.
Russian scientist M.V.Lomonosov takes a special place in the history of Russia. It has reached the greatest achievements in physics and chemistry area. In honour of it named great institute-institute of the Name of Lomonosov.
