that's not the faullt of the graphics card i think, because i had the same fucking problem with my 8800 gts and i uninstalled the game, it's just a broken game, on my bro's pc (he got a q9400 and radeon hd 4870 512mb) this problem never occured, just some shadow problems, but that was fixed with the new drivers

that looks like unstable overclock, try to lower the cpu clock or raise the voltage.
If it was your ram you would most likely get a bsod, not a system freeze.

Obviously something is overloading, it may be your GFX card or your power supply. If you're using the molex to pci-e adapters, make sure you're not using the same cord for each adapter. I was having a similar problem and switching to a different molex cord fixed it for me.

ну если только у БП мощей не хватает, попробуй поставить ватт на 50-150 побольше, на 4870 нужно гдето 600 ватт, а также свежие дрова на всякий случай

какой у тебя блок питания? если 400 ватный поставь гдето 800 или уж 1000
