The modern world is impossible to run without devices. Lok up at the diagram. I've collected some data on the subject of for what people use their gadgets. As you can see, the research covers two groups of users: smartphone owners and tablet owners.
At first sight, it like if we had no smartphones and tablets, connection to each other would fail immensely. Both groups use their devices to send e-mails first of all. And those who use smartphones do it ever more often than making phone calls.
67 % of tablet users prefer to play games after they have sent their e-mails. And so do 48% of smartphone users. But smartphone users seem to be less into playing games as most of them choose to check Facebook and listen to music instead of playing.
And reading news is on the bottom of the smartphone owners' preference list. There is a gap between 37% of smartphone users and 50% of tablet users. Perhaps it's because of the size of the devices. Tablets are more convenient for reading.
And only 46% of tablet users listen to music through their devices. It's the less popular option among them.
In conclusion, I would say that smartphones and tablet PCs have become parts of today's life. People use them for contact and entertainment.
