1.I see my friend buying books.(my friend buying - это один член предложения, так называемое "сложное дополнение", то есть Complex Object.)
2. Having bought the books he went home. (having bought - перфектная форма причастияI) или On buying books he went home (buying - герундий, после предлога on герундий употребляется в форме Indefinite а не Perfect, но выражает ПРЕДШЕСТВОВАНИЕ) .
3. Здесь возможны несколько вариантов перевода
1. с помощью Participle I в форме Perfect Passive
Having been invited he thanked us.
2. с помощью герундия в форме страдательного залога с предлогом after. (здесь несмотря на предшествование употребляется такая форма герундия, как Indefinite Passive:есть предлог after)
After being invited he thanked us. (being invited - герундий, а не причастие)
3. с помощью придаточного предложения
When we had invited him he thanked us. для того чтобы подчеркнуть завершённость одного действия к началу другого в придаточном используется Past Perfect
но с учётом того, что последовательность изложения действий соответствует действительности, то можно в придаточном употребить и Past Simple: When we invited him he thanked us.

5.1. с помощью Participle I в форме Perfect Passive
Having been invited to the party (holiday) they began to prepare their performance.
2. с помощью герундия в форме страдательного залога с предлогом after.
After being invited they began to prepare their performance.
3. с помощью придаточного предложения
After they had been invited to the party they began to prepare their performance.

Мадам Пивоварова, это пример ИСКЛЮЧЕНИЯ!!!! здесь НЕЛЬЗЯ использовать participle I от глагола to be - being!!!!См. "Практич. грамматика англ. яз" Качалова, Израилевич, стр. 281!
