Science and technology has an obviously profound effect on the lives of everybody, whether good or bad. Science and technology are boundless. There's always something to discover, something to invent, something to keep secret, something to exploit. However, there is a fine line between progression and regression in science.
The study of science and technology is incredibly useful and beneficial in many ways, but it can be detrimental when we use it for destruction, when we use it without fully knowing the consequences
Technology and science were meant to be the saviour for humanity; make life better, improve our lives, help us have more time for leisure, give us a more comfortable life than our parents had.
Instead, technology has turned us into disabled, lazy, incompetents, who no longer know how to do the most simplest of things without a calculator, a car, a computer. We have lost the ability to walk in the countryside, watch and interact with nature, we don't even talk to each other properly any more.

I could name many other instances where technology, and science, have done more harm than good to people, and the environment, but it would turn out to be a book. Anyone who thinks science and technology are a great idea for everyone should think again.
