Change the sentences into Passive.

1. Edison (invented) the electric light. -The electric light was invented by Edison.
2. The student (is writing) a detailed report. -A detailed report is being written by the student.
3. We (didn't say) anything. -Nothing was said by us.
4. People often (ask) the policeman the way. -The policeman is often asked the way by people.
5. Nobody (has beaten) him in chess. -He has not been beaten in chess by anybody.
6. My friend (has invited) me to dinner tonight. -I have been invited to dinner by my friend tonight.
7. (Has the carpenter repaired) the chairs? -Have the chairs been repaired by the carpenter?
8. They (allow) us a five minute break. -We are allowed a five minute break by them.
9. (Have they found) the money?-Has the money been found by them?
10. Nobody (has visited) that place for years.-That place has been visited by nobody for years.
11. Someone (will show) the tourists the mountains.-The tourists will be shown the mountains.
12. The government (is starting) new projects this year. - New projects are being started this year by the government.

Юра Достоевская, в литературном английском если существует активная форма, то её нельзя заменять пассивной. это не немецкий или ещё какой другой язык.
пассивные формы в английском применимы лишь в тех случаях, когда неизвестны активные и никак иначе.
Впредь не надо пытаться подстраивать английский под себя.
