awoke, was shining, was hadn't had, dressed, went, was, called, was, did...mean, began, knew, were, was frightened, heard, appered, thought, had (just) been, said, noticed, was, wondered, had been, wanted

то есть в предложении I ought to have gone... глаголы to know и to be нужно посавить просто в Past Simple, как мне кажется; не вижу особого смысла в Perfect, ка у первого отвечающего, а в остальном там всё правильно
