У каждого написано по-разному. Стирай все содержимое этого файла.

Файл HOSTS не имеет расширения и является обычным текстовым файлом, поэтому для его редактирования достаточно стандартного Блокнота.

Стандартное содержимое файла выглядит так:

В дополнении, все что стоит после значка # значения не имеет, потому что это символ коментария.
смысл имеет
