N.I.Kamov was born 1 On September, (14 1902.

Has arrived to Tomsk and has arrived in Tomsk institute of technology when to it was not also 16 years. With 1918 for 1923 he studied on мехфаке and shared the same desk with the Russian pilot known at that time, the Hero of France who has caused a stir in fight for Verdun, H.N.Slavorossovym. Possibly, Slavorossov also has infected Kamov with love to aircraft and aircraft engineering. In 20 years Kamov has with distinction ended ТТИ, having become history of high school as the youngest student, the graduate and the engineer.

In 1929 together with Nikolay Skrzhinsky, Kamov has created the first Soviet Autofat Каскр-1 «the Red engineer». In 1935 under the direction of Kamov the fighting autofat А-7 used during the Great Patriotic War has been created.

In 1940 Kamov became the chief designer of KB on вертолётостроению. Kamov has thought up a word "helicopter".

Under the direction of Kamov helicopters Ka-8 (1948), by Ka-10 (1953), Ka-15 (1956), Ka-18 (1960), Ka-25 (1968), Ka-26 (1967), винтокрыл Ка-22 (1964), Snowmobile Север-2 and Ka-30, a speedboat have been createdвинтокрылКа-22SnowmobileСевер-2.

N.I.Kamov has died On November, 24th 1973.

It is buried in Moscow on the New maiden cemetery (a site № 7).

* In 2002 in honour of Kamov the stamp of Russia has been let out.
