Hello, everyone! I have a question on English grammar.

As we know sometimes Present Simple Tense is used to talk about timetable, some arranged things. For example we say The train leaves at 4 a.m. instead of saying The train will leave at 4 a.m. Is it relevant to Passive voice? I.e. Can I say "The exam will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m.". Or shall I say "The exam is held tomorrow at 9 a.m."? Which one is correct?

Hi. The passive voice is as good as the active voice when talking about timetables, scheduled events, etc. There is no difference in meaning and it sounds formal. That said, "the exam is held tomorrow" is not a good phrase in terms of usage, even though it is perfectly grammatical. Usage is as important as grammaticality is.

"The exam will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m.". Or shall I say "The exam is held tomorrow at 9 a.m."? Which one is correct?
Both are "correct", the first one expressing a future event which will happen regardles of our will. The latter - an event of which we are sure to happen.
