вобще, сейчас достаточно много людей владеют письменным английским на хорошем уровне - интернет обязывает. говорят многие хуже но тоже есть. а вот письменным - наверное, каждые 3 из молодёжи

I'd like to boast my knowledge (as everyone before in this post) in Russian (what is silly), but I won't. I'll tell you about how can it help you. And at first I'll just boast my school achievements:). I've been getting only 5s in English since my 2th grade. Well, sometimes I got 4's, but my mark had never fallen lower.

I really love the language. It allows you to communicate with native speakers, watch your favorite movies or serials in the original language ('cause the most popular are made in the US or the UK which are English-speaking countries). You can get a job abroad. English opens so many oportunities! For examle, I'm keen on the serials. So English allows me to watch Supernatural, the Vampire Diaries and Doctor Who in the original. And you won't believe me, but it's far too much better. Even if I don't understand everything they say, I still can get the main idea (or just download Russian subtitles :)). And the voices... Dean and Sam's, Doctors', Ian Somerholder's... They're so male! In Russian they sound more... sugary (if I can say so).

Anyway, learn English! It'll open you the way to the future! YOUR better future!
