"Мы с семьёй" - это my family and I

kebab редко употребляется. Если хотите, чтобы ваc поняли, лучше взять именно barbecue.

to have a barbecue — жарить мясо на открытом воздухе
играть в мяч - либо ваш вариант to play ball, либо to play catch

Поэтому можно сказать и так - We had a barbecue and played catch.
