1. When I left (PS) my house this morning at 6:30, I stepped (PS) outside and gasped (PS). 2. It was (PS) so cold that it caught (PS) my breath and I actually panicked (PS) for a minute. 3. Where was (PS) I? 4. What was happening (PC)? 5. It was (PS) -18°C and for the first time in as long as I can remember (модальный глагол + PrS), my bones were shivering (PC). 6. It is (PrS) so cold that I can see (модальный глагол +PrS) my breath and am quite certain (PrS) I smell (PrS) snow in the air.
7. I did the only thing I know (PS) how to do (Inf) in such a situation, I turned around (PS), went back (PS) in the house, put (PS) the kettle on, and waited (PS) for the news to tell (inf оборот) me it was (PS) a snow day and I didn’t need (Ps+modal verb) to leave (inf) the house.
8. It is (PrS) humiliating to have become (инфинитив + Pr.Prf) so weak when it comes (PrS) to the cold, and I never thought (PS) this day would come (Future in the Past). 9. Can I really call (модальный глагол + PrS) myself a true Russian when -18°C and sunny is enough to declare (inf) a snow day? 10. To those who are experiencing (PrC) a real winter, please forgive (PrS) me.
