Если тестировать текст, используя Moscow University English, то Василий абсолютно прав. Ни американцы, ни англичане так не говорят. Между тем ни американцы, ни англичане не нашли бы в тексте столько косяков, сколько нашёл Василий. Русский по стилистике текста сразу поймет, что текст написан рускоязычным персонажем. Американец может и не заметить подвоха!
