АНгличане помогите с заданием пожалуйста

Use the Past Perfect, the Past Simple or the Past Continuous in the following sentences.

4) Hardly he (ask) his question when she (answer) it.

2)He telephoned to his office as soon as he (had) reached his house. Можно и Past Simple, и Past Perfect, поэтому had в скобках.

4)Hardly had he asked his question when she answered it.
5)Whenever he found a job, there was someone who knew that he had been to prison. Даже если в скобках стоит глагол to go, в определённых случаях его надо заиенять на глагол to be.
6)I hadn't been in the pub two minutes when somebody brought Tom in for a drink.
7)After she had gone//went, Willy locked the door and went into the bedroom.
8)No sooner HAD the curtain fell than he rose to go.
9) I KNEW I HAD DONE well in my exams even before I received the official results.
10) He had stumbled against the chair before he found the lamp.
11) We expected Neil to come for dinner but he took a wrong turning and got completely lost. Тут не совсем понятна последовательность действий. Если они сначала ждали Нейл, но она ПОТОМ потерялась, т. е. события передаются в хронолог. последовательности, тогда везде Past Simple (вариант выше). Если же они рассчитывали, ждали, что Нейл придёт, но она не пришла, потому что к тому моменту, как её ожидали, она уже успела заплутать, то .. had taken ...and got...
