One of the most important problems in our life is money. Many parents encourage their children to study well by giving extra money for each good mark. Others are against this practice.

On the one hand, there are good points. First, students try to get a good mark and study well. They do homework instead of walking with their friends or something else. If they need money they will study hard.

Besides, children can learn how to use money correctly. Some of them econome their pocket money to buy presents for their parents or friends. Other children buy something for themselves. Many parents think giving their children extra pocket money is a good idea to teach them adult life.

On the other hand, there are bad points. For example, many pupils study for money, not for their education and knowledge. Money is the most important thing in life for them. They become money addicted people.

More than that, most of students try to get good marks, but they can not. There are different reasons: their knowledge can be very bad, teachers can give them only bad marks. That is why they do not receive pocket money although they try to study.

To conclude I want to say that in spite of its advantages, giving extra pocket money for good marks is a bad idea. Parents should not give pocket money for studying. They can give it for children's achievements in sport, on holidаys and others.
