Помогите, пожалуйста, моему сыну выполнить домашнее задание.

Question

Необходимо ответить на два вопроса, стоящие в конце текста. 
 
Once a man built a house. The house was nice but very small. He invited his friends to visit him. He wanted them to see his house. His friends came and looked at the house. But no one said anything good about it. 
"The front of the house is not nice enought,"said one. 
"The house is small and there are not enough windows in it," said another. 
"Look at these windows" cried the third. "They are so ugly" 
"Look at the roof!" said the fourth. "It will probably fall down when it snows." 
"And the doors! They are not big enough." 
"Have you ever seen such rooms?" asked another. "They are too small even for one man." 
The man listened to his friends in silence. At last he said, "It may be true that my house is small. But can live with me even in such a small house." 
 
Where the man's friends his real friends?Why?Why not? 
 
Should you always tell the truth to your friends? Why? Why not?

The man's real friends are they, who don't say that it is a bad house, because than they see the negative things. Good and real friends are they, that are optimits and see the positive things. 
 
With the truth you can hurt your friends so, we saw that in the history, if you come in a house to a good friend you MUST say only the positive things,if won't do this that aren't good friends.

У вас ошибка или опечатка в первом вопросе, надо: WERE the man's friends... 
Для разнообразия отвечу противоположно мнению Э. Карпенко (я на самом деле так думаю) . 
I think that they all were real friends of the man, because they tried to explain him all his mistakes. That man ought not take offence at them. On the contrary, he must thank his friends for their honest and fair words. 
But we mustn't always speak the truth to any person. If I suppose that the trouth can hurt my friend I'll probably try not to tell it to him.
