Alevis pray usually not in a mosque, but come together for acts of worship, called Cem, in a Cemevi (meeting house) to the recitation of poems and ritual dance (Semah).The Semah is an important ritual dance and is one of the 12 Obligations of Cem event. His sense is, becoming one with God and nature.
The Alives who living in remote mountain regions still retain their medieval, semi-feudal social system and their ancient customs. Almost all of the Alevis share a belief in the sanctity of the magic of letters, numbers and stars.
