I’d like to present a project “The Best of All Possible Worlds’. My project is about to St.-Petersburg. It was done by Karpunina Maria. I’ve chosen this topic because I visited
St.-Petersburg. In my opinion, St.-Petersburg it is the best of all possible worlds. I’d like to live in St.-Petersburg, firstly because it is very beautiful and clean city. There are many picturesque places and beautiful streets, squares and parks in St.-Petersburg. There are a lot of museums theatres and monuments. Another reason for my choice is famous white nights. St.-Petersburg attracts me most of all because it is a cultural capital of Russia.
And now have a look at the photos that illustrate the best of all possible worlds.
St.-Petersburg is a really fine city of Russia in which you can find many new and interesting things. First, I’d like to tell that Saint Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is a city of great beauty, with palaces, cathedrals, and churches.
The historical and architectural centre of St.-Petersburg is Palace Square that is one of the largest in Europe. While visiting Palace Square you can see a winter palace, an obelisk to the hero-city. St.-Petersburg’s many museums house some of the world’s most famous art collections. The Hermitage, for example, contains the richest collection of pictures in the world.
Admiralty - one of masterpieces St.-Petersburg architecture. The gilded spire of the Admiralty is crowned by a golden weathervane in the shape of a caravel – the unofficial symbol of a St.-Petersburg.
About St.-Petersburg and Russia culture it is possible to learn much, but most excellent it independently to visit this city.
