We have a nice flat in a block of flats. Our flat is on the fourth floor of a nine-storied building. It has all modem conveniences: central heating, running hot and cold water, electricity, gas, a lift and a chute to carry rubbish down.
We have a three-room flat which consists of a hall and two bedroom, a kitchen, a bath-room. Our flat has one balcony.
The hall is the largest and most comfortable one in the flat. The bedroom is smaller than the hall and not so light. In this room there is bed, dressing-table and a wardrobe. In the corner of the bedroom there is a TV set. On the dressing table there is an alarm-clock and small lamp with white lamp-shade
I use my room as a study and a bedroom. It is very nice and cozy. There isn’t much furniture in it, only the most necessary pieces. It has a writing table, an armchair and a bookcase too. A small table with cassette-recorder is standing in the right-hand corner of the study. Besides there is a small sofa near the wall opposite the bookcase. I like to turn on the lamp, sit in the arm-chair and read an interesting book.
There are some shelves with books in my room. You can see Russian and English books there.
There are not some posters with singers on the wall. I think it’s unnecessary.
And in my opinion it is the best room in our flat.
I like my room very much. When my friends come to visit me, I invite them into my room.
My room is a nice place for both rest and work.
