Для for нормально и present perfect

Что тут думать? ! Ведь у глагола to be НЕТ формы Continuous. Это один из тех глаголов, которые не принимает ing окончания в данном случае. Поэтому выбор времени очевиден. PRESENT PERFECT He has already been ill for a week. Был бы другой глагол (например фраза to stay in bed, feel bad), то тогда, конечно, наличие такого обстоятельства времени, как for a week говорило бы в пользу PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS
Кроме глагола to be ing окончание не могут принимать (а следовательно употребляться во временах группы Continuous и Perfect Continuous) следующие глаголы:

Для for нормально и Present Perfect - это ДА, но в данном случае ТОЛЬКО Present Perfect.
Present Perfect Continuous с глаголом to be в качестве смыслового построить нельзя.
He has already been ill for a week. - ТОЛЬКО ТАК!

He IS already BEEN ill for a week. (Present Perfect Continuous) - "с продолжением", кого лечить едете со своим драгоценным?

и ваще ...надо на русский сначала перевести - сразу понятно станет, какая ты - " I_I"

чаще всего с already упротребляется перфектная группа времен, пусть вас for a week не сбивает с толку.
ALREADY это как "маркер" для студента/ученика, чтобы выбрать правильное время: He HAS ALREADY BEEN....present PERFECT
и в другом вашем вопросе то же самое: she HAD ALREADY DONE - past PERFECT

He has already been ill for a week.
