I have lived - неоправданный континиус.
the park has played лучше будет звучать. континиус не нужен, вам же не процесс нужно подчеркнуть.. . перфект континиус вообще не так часто используется, только в случаях, когда действительно важно подчеркнуть длительность, процесс.
ш strongly believe - в этом предложении одно из as стоит заменить на because или since. стилистика.

а так - хорошооо.. . мне понравилось!! !

П. С. natural habitat в общественном парке О_о серьеееезнооо???

Recently, while watching TV, I have found out that new deluxe apartments are going to be built in a public park which is located not far from the place where I have been living since my childhood.

The park has been playing an important role in the life of our city. It has a worldwide fame and almost every tourist visiting our country admires the breathtaking scenery of the park. Many holidays and other important days are held here.

I strongly believe that this is outrageous and should not be done as, first of all, it will definitely make a damage to the environment as building will involve a certain degree of deforestation in the park and many animals will lose their natural habitat. In addition, it may happen that some territories could be walled and the access to them would be restricted for many citizens.

We are asking you as an editor of the local newspaper to inform authorities that all local residents are angry at the plans to intervene in the life of the park and want to prevent any building here.
