can you check my composition in English about mass media = Thank you in advance
The mass media, including television, radio and newspapers, have great influence in shaping people’s ideas. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? (Model tests for the IELTS) The mass media had been playing a crucial role in the people's lives since its origin. It helps form opinions on different aspects of life and even can have influence the whole policy of the country. In the last 50 years the media influence has grown greatly with the advance of technology, first there was the telegraph, then the radio, the newspaper, magazines, television and now the internet. A common person in the city usually wakes up checks the TV news or newspaper, goes to work, makes a few phone calls and makes his decisions based on the information that he has either from their co -workers, the Internet, TV, friends, family, financial reports published in newspapers or magazines, radio etc. We live in a society that depends on information, communication and doing our daily activities like work, entertainment, health care, education, personal relationships, traveling . The influence of mass media on our kids, teenagers and society is big. As for me I firmly believe that mass media is even responsible for forming notions about culture, behavior, family, and other values among people. For example, a year ago a new film about young people appeared on TV in Russia. The heroes of these films use slang, swearing, do not respect other peoples and even each other. I have found about this film from my nephew who is 16 years old. He began watching it and after some time while we were speaking he was using rude and offensive language. Moreover, he is sure that there is nothing wrong with it as he took this manner of speaking from TV. Overall, I believe that mass media is very necessary in our hard world to keep in touch with other countries and inform people about everyday events but we must aware of disadvantages which may have a negative effect too.

The mass media has been crucial since its origin, actually, it helps to form public opinion on different aspects of life and even may have significant influence on the national and international policies.
Within last 50 years the media influence has grown greatly due to new technology, if at first there were telegraph, radio,newspaper, magazines, television, now it is mostly the Internet, number one and also covering for all other media. A common city resident usually wakes up, checks the TV news or newspaper, goes to work, makes a few phone calls and makes his decisions based on the information that he has either from their co -workers, the Internet, TV, friends, family, financial reports published in newspapers or magazines, radio etc. We live in a society very much dependant on information, communication technologies in all our daily activities such as work, leasure, health care, education, personal relationships, traveling and what not.

I believe that mass media is actually responsible for forming concepts and ideas regarding culture, behavior, family and other values. For example, a year ago on Russian TV there appeared a new documentary film about young people, the characters of which use slang, keep swearing, do not respect anyone, not even one another. I learnt about this film from my nephew who is 16 years old. He started watching it and after some time, while we were speaking he was using rude and offensive language. Moreover, he is sure that there is nothing wrong with it as he took this manner of speaking from TV. Thus, I believe mass media is very important in our effort to keep in touch with other countries and inform people about daily happenings, but we should be also aware of its disadvantages which may have a negative impact on the same, too.
