Помогите перевести текст на английский язык

Задали задание по английскому языку, но я не могу, так как не знаю грамматики совсем. Помогите, пожалуйста. Вот текст:
8 апреля в нашей стране отмечается День российской анимации. Именно 8 апреля 1912 года состоялась премьера первого отечественного мультипликационного фильма – «Прекрасная Люканида». Широкая публика впервые в истории увидела анимационную картину. И сегодня эта дата считается Днем рождения российской анимации.
В юбилейный, 2012-й, год по всей стране было проведено множество мероприятий и акций, посвященных российской мультипликации. Так, в кинотеатрах страны прошли показы мультфильмов лучших российских аниматоров, а также были показаны малоизвестные фильмы, которые по тем или иным причинам не были доведены до широкого зрителя . Ещё к юбилею были приурочены различные выставки, концерты, фестивали и другие мероприятия. С того момента и было принято решение сделать этот праздник – День российской анимации – ежегодным и отмечать его 8 апреля.

April 8 our country celebrates the Day of Russian animation. It 8 APR 1912 premiere of the first domestic animated film – "Great Lucanid". The General public for the first time in history saw the animated picture. And today this date is considered the birthday of Russian animation.
In the jubilee, 2012-the year across the country there have been many activities and events dedicated to Russian animation. So, the cinemas held screenings of cartoons of the best Russian animators, and was featured a little-known movies that for one reason or another was not communicated to the General public . Yet the anniversary was dedicated to the various exhibitions, concerts, festivals and other events. From the moment it was decided to make this holiday – Day of Russian animation – annual and to celebrate it on April 8.
