1.Andrei Sakharov
Andrei Sakharov is a Rassian scientist and human rights campainger, called "the father of hydrogen bomb".
Andrei Saharov was born May, 21 in Moscow in a very friendly atmotphere of a united family.
At school he was one of the best pupils. And a gold medal at finishing school. He wished to become a physicist and entered to the Moscow State University. He very much interested in science. He had a work at one of the military plans during the war. Sakharov was a member of the team creating the hydrogen bomb, which was firs tested August, 12 in 1953. The test was a succes. Andrei Sakharov was an academician at the age of 32, three times the hero of the country.
Summer 1962 - an offer to ban nuclear tests in the atmosphere, water and space. 1970 was the beginning of public campaign for human rights. In 1975 Sakharov got the Nobel prize for important work towards world place. He also protested against the war in Afghanistan. And spent six years in Gorky in exile far from Moscow. Andrei Sakharov did active social and political work known for millions of people in Russia and abroad. He also take an active part in the work for "perestroika".
He died December, 14 in 1989.
