Our planet Earth is only a tiny part of the universe, but nowadays it's the only place where we can live. Every day a man invents something new and useful to our lives, but it is bad for the environment. But until now pollution was not such a serious problem. Now we feel more changes in the environment, it greatly affects our lives, and people give more time and attention to environmental problems. Today our planet is in serious danger. I think the most urgent ecological problems are water and air pollution, climate changes, global warming etc. Now scientists are very concerned about the greenhouse effect and global warming, because if that happens, life on earth would be impossible. Glaciers will melt, earthquake and tsunami will start, climate will change and many other problems. I don’t think that only people blame for global warming, but our fast development and our new technologies are strongly influenced for changes in the environment. For example: Factories emit tons of harmful chemicals. They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains. Our forests are disappearing because they are cut down or burnt. And one day we won't have enough oxygen to breathe, we won't see a beautiful green forest at all etc. Nowadays we are very much concerned about the energy which we use, because energy has become dangerous to the environment. Harmful substances into the air and water are dangerous to our health and to the ecology (a lot of cars, factories etc.) I agree that the climate in the place where I live is changing. Third year in Kyrgyzstan are very cold winters and very hot summer. It is unusual for Kyrgyzstan, because it’s a southern country. These changes have a very negative effect on people, because in the winter is very difficult to heat the house, and in the summer a lot of people are hospitalized due to heat stroke. But climate changes aren’t only in Kyrgyzstan, but also in other countries. I read that in the heat Africa snow fell, and the ice in the Arctic began to melt.
I think we can solve these problems. We have the time and modern technology. We can plant trees, create reserves and parks for endangered animals, we can use alternative energy and recycle our wastes etc. But the most important thing is to raise a person to respect and love our nature.
